Some Important concepts about angles:

1. Right Angle:  An angle which measure 90 degree is called right angle.

2. Acute Angle: All the angles which measure less than 90 degree are called acute angles.

3. Obtuse Angle: All the angles which measure greater than 90 degree but less than 180 degree are called obtuse angles.

4. There are 360 degree in a circle.

5. There are 180 degree in a half circle.

6. There are 90 degree in a quarter circle.

7. Radius of a circle:  The line segment which joins any point on the circle to its center is called radial segment of the circle. The length of radial segment is called radius of circle and is represented by "r".

8. Diameter of a circle:  The line segment which joins any two points on a circle and passes through its center is called diameter.

9. Circumference of a circle: Distance covered in one revolution is equal to circumference of the circle.

10. Perimeter (of a room) : The total length of the boundary of a room is called its perimeter.

Perimeter (of a figure): The total length of the surroundings of a closed figure is called the perimeter.

11. Geometrical Shapes:     a) Cube:  A cube has 8 vertices, 6 surfaces, 12 edges.    The length, height, and width of the cube are the same.

b) Cuboid: A cuboid has 8 vertices, 6 surfaces, 12 edges. All the surfaces of a cuboid are of rectangular shape.

c) Sphere: 0 vertices, 1 surface, 0 edges.

d) Cylinder: 0 vertices, 3 surface, 2 edges. It has 3 surfaces, one curved and the two circular.

e) Cone:  1 vertices, 2 surface, 1 edge. It has two surfaces, one curved and the other circular.

f) Pyramid: 5 vertices, 5 surfaces, 8 edges. Pyramid has five surfaces, one square and four triangular.
